Waypoints
|
I'm still hanging around making waypoints.
Even though it's been 2 years since the last waypoint release, people are still around and are still willing to fill waypoint requests.
So if you or anyone needs waypoints, stop by in the forum and make a request.
Donations are always appreciated.
Also, don't expect immediate releases of waypoints like in the old days. Quality waypoints has always been preferred over quantity, and always will be.

Soon the portal system will be updated to prevent more bugs. It will impliment a simple one-click bug submittion system.
People will soon be able to choose which template to use, which language, and I have updated the ranks available in the portal system.
Also, the website is still be updated. Waypoints are still being made, slowly, but surely.

Grand Theft Auto IV Review
|
Grand Theft Auto IV was released mid-2008 in May.
The PC version appeared on shelves and Steam around November.
The PC Version has said to be full of bugs and performance and quality do not meet in the middle.
GTA IV, is not a unique game, however, it is the most expensive game ever made. Comedians, famous DJ's, known voice talent and many other features and people take a part in the game.
Before I play any new or next-gen games, I run WinMem Optimizer. It's a free program that will free up extra video memory so you can run extra features or shadowing on newer games. However, it isn't needed for great Source Engine games like Half-life 2 and Counter-Strike 1.6.
GTA IV is a beatuiful and graphical game with obscene language, horrific violence and prostitution.
Game runs fine on certain settings that are under the content.
Shadows are grainy in lower resolutions. Since the graphics and far more enchanced than in the PS3 or XBox 360 versions, you can use medium settings and have the same graphic stimulation as the PS3.
Some things bothered me while playing in game. Sometimes blood and spider-webbed bullet holes did not appear on the inside of the car wind shield but did on the outside. Traffic do not use blinker while changing lanes which will cause you to crash and lose almost all of your health (if you are on a motorcycle). Police appear when not needed, but are scarce when you need a cop car to steal (Always been that way). Many person or side missions available. Massacuring people in every mission is a bit frustrating after a while. People do not respond properly when you are driving in the street. Citizens drive extremely slow, and are almost parked when trying to change lanes.
However, the missions are not always the same, some missions do not involve killing anyone. You will be pitted against two friends who want each other dead; it will be up to you (the player) to choose which path is right and which has more pay. Robbing a bank isn't a new idea, but was fun getting $250,000. In GTA IV, you have to hang-out with your friends, so instead of having gang territory, you must hang out with your friends and go on dates and make your women happy to get their special abilites. Some women you date are nurses and one is lawyer. One can give you a health-boost during a mission. The other will clear your wanted level, sometimes can't help during a mission. Shadowing and reflections are amazing looking, and a wide variety of vehicles are available to be stolen (Boats, Heli-copters, cars, trucks, vans, sports cars, cop cars and dump trucks). You can take a taxi or a train to get to get around the city quickly.
Despite some bugs, the sometimes missing textures and a sudden fear of falling into the sea feeling, the game is superb.
Game Settings:
Render Quality: Medium
Texture Quality: Medium
Draw Distance: 25
Detail Distance: 10
Shadow Density: 3
Resolution: 1280 x 1024 (60 Hertz)
My CPU Settings:
OS: Windows Vista Home Preimum
RAM: 2 GB
Proc: Intel Duo Core
GFX: NVidia GeForce 8600 GT 512 MB (Tripple Buffer and Force Anti-Alias 8x on).
The Game isn't lag free, but still is more visiually stimulating than PS3 and XBox 360.
I recomend buying and playing the addictive GTA IV whenever you have a lot of free time.
